Lita Cabellut is a Catalan artist – painter, sculptor, photographer and poet – who lives in the Netherlands. She argues for the universality of art and on that basis describes the reality of the human condition. Visibly influenced by artists such as Francisco de Goya and Francis Bacon, her creative universe focuses on a commitment and concern for humankind, which she takes as an object and introduces it into her artwork using a technique in which the importance relies on capturing the vivacity of the skin, the most external organ that reveals the passage of time and experiences, one that strips the rawness, force, character and anguish of the most emotional moments in one’s existence.
