CONTEMPORARY ART - ARTISTS COLLECTION

Agustí Puig

Sabadell, Barcelona, 1957

Influenced by the transavant-garde and seduced by comics and graphic design, Puig has immersed himself in a period of romantic landscapes drawing from the roots of Pop Art. His stay in New York in 1992 resulted in a rethink of his artistic priorities, the density of material and gesture were to accompany him in his multiple and tireless creative transformations. With quick and vigorous execution, his browns, reds, blacks and whites are converted into spaces for reflection on the essence of life and a clear return to its most primitive origins.
