He learned sculpture with Giacometti, worked in the studio with Braque and Chagall and even cut Dalí's mustache. Joan Gardy Artigas (Paris, 1938), son of the "best ceramist in the world" according to his friend Picasso, studied at the prestigious Louvre School and was part of the exclusive list of artists represented by the gallery owner Aimé Maeght.
