Antoni Vila Casas, Toni, son of a bourgeois family dedicated to the textile sector, internalized that he would have to pencar (work) at the age of 11, after the loss of his father, whom he adored. He studied at the Jesuits on Caspe Street in Barcelona, who instilled in him very solid values and taught him to examine his conscience, something he practiced every night of his life.
