Palau Solterra is the Fundació Vila Casas Museum of Contemporary Photography (National and International) located in the town of Torroella de Montgrí in the Empordà region of Catalonia. It was opened in 2000. There are presently approximately 200 contemporary photographs on display by artists from around the world.
Palau Solterra is a 15th century palace that was the ancestral home of the Counts of Torroella de Montgrí. As well as the permanent collection, temporary exhibitions and a cycle of conferences on history and humanities are held annually.
Winter opening hours: from January 11th to June 15th and from September 15th to November 23th
Saturday: from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.
Sunday: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Summer opening hours: from June 16th to September 14th.
Tuesday to Sunday: from 11 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and from 5.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.

Access to the museum until 30 minutes before closing time.

Visitors who show a valid card confirming certain conditions or a membership to some entities have de possibility to purchase the reduced entrance ticket.
