Dolors Puigdemont (Amer, Girona, 1950) has had a long artistic career and has regularly participated in numerous exhibitions since the eighties. The exhibition she is currently presenting at Fundació Vila Casas’ Museu Can Mario has been conceived as an installation whereby all the artworks – most of which have been made since 2006 – establish various levels of affinity and relationship between each other. The artist showcases the wide range of techniques and materials, natural and artificial, that she has used in recent years and which her hands transform into something subtle and weightless.
With Transparència endins (Transparency within) Puigdemont invites us to become part of the different works that fill the space with their body, their movement and their shadows. The weight of each piece contrasts with the fragility of the whole that, through elements from nature – such as water, air, light and colours –, surrounds us and embraces us into the exhibition space.
