Conxita Fornt (Barcelona, 1934) studied art at the Escola Eina from 1981 to 1983 alongside Albert Ràfols Casamada, Francesc Artigau, Javier Serra de Rivera, Francesc Todó, Sergi Aguilar, Ernest Fontecillas and Patricio Vélez. Taking figuration as a starting point, her work has developed into a universe of abstract forms which captures all that which has no form and which coexists with tangible elements within a space singing with lyricism, colour and light.
In this show, entitled The Beauty of the Human Figure, Xita Fornt, delighting in the study of the human figure, portrays the nude. After Geometry and Colour, Fornt’s work advances by marrying the abstract with the figurative.
