Ànima (Spirit) is a show of work by the artist Cristina Batllori on in the Sala Empordà at the Can Mario Museum in Palafrugell until 2 September 2018.
On this occasion, Cristina Batllori presents a series which explores the spirit of cardboard; a material she often uses in the creation of her pieces. Batllori strips it down to reveal its inner qualities with a naturalness which allows us to immerse ourselves in the purity of a material so common in everyday life. According to the artist, “These pieces are full of life, of energy and power, all the power that the material has acquired in its previous lives. In this new life it is stripped down before us to reveal its spirit.”
