With the twin aims of raising awareness of the importance of photography, and preserving our country’s heritage, we are showing an exhibition that puts faces to the people who took part in the Spanish Civil War; not only the soldiers, revolutionary leaders and politicians – with President Companys at the forefront – but also the anonymous citizens who fought at the battlefront and contributed to the home front.
