Manolo Ballesteros (Barcelona, 1965) is the creator of intuitive art of an abstract nature. Using the even application of colour and the reduction of relief he produces highly complex interplays of geometry, where the convergence of circular shapes on monochromatic backgrounds draws viewers into his energetic and dynamic work. Reluctant to define his work, he leaves it untitled and lets the painting express itself through colour, form and brushwork. The exhibition, which gives primacy to colour, gesture and emotion, is of works painted in 2014: 12 oils and two papers handmade in India.
