Once again, the Fundació Vila Casas is holding its competition to award a prize, on a rotating basis, in the disciplines of painting, sculpture and photography. This year, the award is the Photography Prize 2023 and the judges – Natàlia Chocarro, Sophie Köhler, Antonio Sagnier, Àlex Susanna, Laura Terré and Antoni Vila Casas – will select the finalist artworks that will be exhibited at Palau Solterra in Torroella de Montgrí from 29th April to 18th June.
The 33 artists that have made the shortlist are: Nora Ancarola, Samuel Aranda, Marc Ávila Català, Juan Baraja, Quim Boix, Andrés Cañal, Maite Caramés, Carma Casulá, Salvi Danés, Ana DMatos, Beatriz Dubois, Michael Dunev, Alba Duque, Ingrid Ferrer Homs, Rosa Gabriela, Eugeni Gay Marín, Lucía Gorostegui, Ramon Guimarães, Anna Ill, Joan-Ramon Manchado, Xavier Manrique, Gemma Miralda, Santos Montes, Myriam Negre, Jaume Parera, Alberto Polo, Lluc Queralt, Kati Riquelme, David Salcedo, Rubèn Tresserras, Blanca Viñas, Clàudia Vives-Fierro and Román Yñán.
The winning works of the Photography Prize 2023 are:
