The new edition of the "Dialogues with the Collection" series is an exercise in searching for parallels between the work of Vicenç Rovira and that of the photographer from the collection Miquel Esclusa, who has produced long series of nocturnal and abstract images in which light, water and darkness are the main points of reference.
The aim of these dialogues is to offer new viewpoints on pieces from the Fundació Vila Casas permanent collection and establish points of contact, either through parallels or opposites, between very different artists. On this occasion, the photographic images of Vicenç Rovira use stone as a solid and consistent element that has resisted time to trace a visual journey through the history of a town. The result is a set of poetic images where stone, strong and resilient, takes on the spirit of place and transforms it.
