Over nineteen editions, new acquisitions for the Col·lecció de Belles Arts del Fons Patrimonial of the Universitat de Barcelona have been selected from the exhibition organized annually by the Vice Dean of Culture of the Facultat de Belles Arts. This year’s show – Sense Títol’22 (Untitled’22) – featured more than sixty works, taken from the best final-year projects by undergraduate students on the 2018–2022 course.
The jury agreed upon the acquisition of the following works Karim Khourrou Gadour for the work Ghorba; Solo memoria, sin futuro. Diario de una máquina; Ángela Guzmán by exPONER SOBRE LA MESA; Candela Reyes Rolo by Habitar la no-consciencia; 136 Vitrinas and Nes Serrasolses Alemany by No compro, però us convido a dinar.
The jury also awarded a special mention to the following artists: Lúa Ortiz for the work Escenes de família: L’herència i perdurar de la memòria; Cloé Pérez Muñoz for Sonoritat/Sororitat; and Samuel Álvarez García for Locus amoenus Locus amoenus Locus amoenus.
All the selected artworks will become part of the Fons Patrimonial of the Universitat de Barcelona, which is committed to supporting its students and emerging talent. The works can be seen in an exhibition at Museu Can Framis in June.
