Once again, the Fundació Vila Casas is holding its competition to award a prize, on a rotating basis, in the disciplines of painting, sculpture and photography. This year, the award is the Painting Prize 2022 and the judges – Gisela Chillida, Natàlia Chocarro, Marc Domènech, Conxita Oliver, Antonio Sagnier, Àlex Susanna and Antoni Vila Casas – have selected a shortlist of 30 artworks that will be exhibited at Can Framis in Barcelona from 5th July to 18th September.
The 30 artists that have made the shortlist are: Eladio Aguilera, Alejandra Atarés, Rafel G. Bianchi, Sara Bonache, Jose Bonell, Bernat Daviu, Gonzalo Elvira, Miquel Garcia, Elena Kervinen, Gala Knörr, Lola Lasurt, Pere Llobera, Francesca Llopis, Justine Lotus, Ariadna Mangrané, Irma Marco, Maria Mercader, Muma, Narotzky, José Luis Pascual, Jorge R. Pombo, Ignasi Prat Altimira, Francesc Ruiz Abad, Bea Sarrias, Manolo Sierra, Joan Soler, Ramon Surinyac, Guim Tió Zarraluki, Jordi Torrent and Clara Vidal.
The judges will announce the winner and award the prize at the inauguration of the exhibition on Monday 4th July, at 7.00 p.m.
The winning work of the Painting Prize 2022 is: El col·leccionista absent, III (2022) by Rafel G. Bianchi.
