Writer, poet, painter, critic, curator, journalist… Narcís Comadira (Girona, 1942) is a self-taught artist with a preference for warm colours and simple geometric forms. He alternates lyricism with a firm line in an artistic output that leans towards abstraction. His early work was influenced by Noucentisme resulting in a Kandinsky-like Expressionism, but he then moved towards Pop art and the Transavantgarde. In this exhibition Comadira’s work shows an inclination towards organicism, and the show, divided into poetic cores, moves between the different periods and motifs of his work. His creative process is also revealed to the viewer in the sketches and preparatory work linking his artistic universe with nature.
