Carla Tarruella (Barcelona, 1966) is showing a selection of work at Espai Volart produced between 2008 and 2013. Some 20 pieces enable us to discover previously-unshown works in resin, others based on methacrylate, and portraits. Confronting the void, the artist sets out on a process of paring down which allows her to capture true essence on her solitary path steeped in the melancholy emanating from nature, and to reproduce with luminous pigments and materials the landscapes of the soul.
