The exhibition, curated by Glòria Bosch, is of recent paintings, sculptures and drawings. The depiction of fragments of reality, the halting of the passing of time, and reflections on our own fragility are the leitmotifs of the artist’s work. Via his Matterist and gestural brushwork, Vaquero’s recent work is fuelled by his intention of bringing the spirit of objects to the fore; everyday surroundings which, free from the dust of time seen in his previous work, don the guise of appearance in order to reveal the fiction of representation.
