The artist and filmmaker Marta Vergonyós (Esclanyà, 1975) presents an “exercise in secular meditation” centred on the contemplation of the point where the sea fuses with the sky: the horizon. Over three months, observing a minute of strict silence, Vergonyós recorded the same shot of the sunrise or the sunset from the window of a studio in Sant Martí d’Empúries. The project reproduces a ritualistic and cathartic practice that connects with a desire for infiniteness and is a homage to the beauty of blue - the chromatic range associated with that which is most intimate in an individual.
