Jordi Puig (Cerdanyola del Vallès, 1963) generates images which feed off the divergence between real and virtual existence and end up making explicit a vision for which he has neither a name nor a place. Free of all artifice, he leads us through a visual conflict between what we see and what we believe, with an ironic and incisive poesy of colour.
The photographs on display stake a claim for everyday objects as artistic subjects. According to Pau Minguet, the objects photographed by Jordi Puig become endowed with a need to make the viewer see the aesthetic potential and mystery in many of the, often unnoticed, things surrounding us in our day-to-day lives.
