Room 3 at Can Mario hosts an exhibition by the artist Manel Margalef (Amposta, 1963). With sober and controlled language Margalef reflects on the difficulties of today’s world using codes and symbols drawn from the every-day. With what he calls psycho-objects – elements with strong symbolic power that have been modified and re-equipped with new meanings - the artist refers us back to their original habitat and outlines a discourse on concepts such as the memory and the psychology of architectural space that, although apparently ordered and structured, also shows the defeat of the search for happiness in the private realm.
