THE STUDENTS OF TODAY WILL BE THE CREATORS OR VIEWERS OF THE ART OF THE FUTURE. WE ARE TAKING ANOTHER STEP TOWARDS MOVING ART IN MUSEUMS CLOSER TO EDUCATIONAL CENTRES!
The Can Framis Museum has at its disposal excellent exhibition spaces with a private collection of top-level contemporary Catalan painting, allowing visitors to get to know artists who are closely allied to our reality, providing a more direct connection with the viewer. It is, therefore, an ideal space for learning about the factors that generate real artistic activity, beyond the connotations or historical value that can be attributed to works overtime and once their impact on history has been understood. To understand what art is today, to understand what an artist is, to understand that an artist speaks to us through a language that we may not know but which allows us to generate our own interpretation, is a transversal tool of great help for self-knowledge.
We are turning the Museum into another classroom! is a living, dynamic and personalized project, designed to create a fit between the educational requirements of teachers and the artistic direction of the museum staff, providing a first-class educational add-on to enrich the knowledge of a type of art which is unknown to many.
Recently the Education Service and the El Sagrer School in La Sagrera de Sant Andreu have created a travelling project called “Artistes KM0”. It is also currently working on other projects with education centers allied to the Museum: the Pere IV School, the Grèvol School, the Quatre Cantons Secondary School in Poblenou, La Llacuna School and Dovella School.
