Museu Can Mario, located in Palafrugell in a former cork factory dating back to the early twentieth-century, holds Fundació Vila Casas’ sculpture collection. The museum has over two hundred artworks that represent contemporary Catalan art from the different avant-garde movements that took place from the second half of the twentieth century to the present day.
The Fundació Vila Casas Educational Service organizes an activity in the form of a tour and workshop aimed at Infant and Primary school students, in which we go on a tour of the museum’s collection and discover a selection of sculptures along the way. On the tour we will observe and analyse different aspects related to this artistic discipline, and use this experience to take part in an arts activity in the workshop space.
Length of activity: 1.5 hours for Infant school students, 2 hours for Primary school students.
