To mark the 20th anniversary of the death of the artist Manuel Duque (Nerva, Huelva, 1919 – Sabadell, 1998), the Fundació Vila Casas is mounting the exhibition From Light to the World, a selection of 20 works embodying the career of an artist who always felt out of place and out of his time, distanced from all movements and styles.
On 8th November, at 6 pm Imma Prieto, curator of the show, will lead a visit based on the central concept of the display – the brushstroke – where the periods of Duque are represented by chiaroscuro, graphics and representations of nature, all firmly underpinned by deep emotion. As the artist himself put it, “I have not wanted to explain anything, only hold fast to emotion.”
Minimum capacity: 4 people. Maximum: 25 people.
Price: general admission 7 €, reduced admission 4 €.
