Carles Duarte i Montserrat (Barcelona, 1959), poet and linguist whose career has been recognised in Europe – he was made Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters in France – uses the Japanese word Tensho to designate a new era which, according to the artist Wataru Koike (Tokyo, Japan, 1977), questions the routines of the present and opens up our senses to a more intimate and aware relationship with nature and a more fraternal and supportive approach to our fellow humans.
Taking this concept as inspiration, Duarte composed 14 short poems and has published them together with paintings by Màrius Brossa (Barcelona, 1950), whose artistic discourse surpasses formal boundaries, and a group of ceramic works by Wataru Koike as a counterpoint in a dialogue between the gaze and the word.
