The sonograph is an electronic audiovisual instrument which can be used as a tool for musical learning by primary school pupils and works by transforming drawing into music, converting gestural strokes and geometric figures into electronic sounds.
By using this tool, participants can experiment with the composition of electronic music that us made through manual drawing, thus learning music in an intuitive way, far removed from academic complexities, and connecting artistic expression with musical expression.
