Guillem Viladot (Agramunt, Lleida, 1922–1999) was a prolific writer and versatile creator. He excelled in many artistic languages: poetic, literary, experimental, journalistic, and plastic, among others. He was a pioneer in the world of concrete poetry, a promoter of experimental poetry publications, author of more than forty volumes, writer of over a thousand articles and creator of the world's first museum dedicated to visual poetry. This simultaneity of voices that converged in Viladot make him a man who, driven by curiosity and overflowing creativity, shunned classifications, trends and fashions, and who made his work the most singular expression of a sensitive and restless mind.
