The V Clínic Barcelona Summer School is an initiative by Fundació Vila Casas and Hospital Clínic in Barcelona with the aim of making knowledge about health more accessible to the general public. Ever since its establishment, Fundació Vila Casas has promoted knowledge of science and art, thanks to the combination of Antoni Vila Casas’ pharmaceutical training and his passion for the word of contemporary art.
In this context of interconnection between different disciplines, we have organized a round table discussion about the impact of Covid from two perspectives: those of three authors who have written about the lockdown and those of two health professionals from the Hospital Clínic. The discussion will focus on the following themes: solitude, vulnerability, uncertainty, grief and trust.
Speakers:
Cristina Masanés, author of Eroica.
Ingrid Guardiola and Marta Segarra, authors of Fils. Cartes sobre el confinament, la vigilància i l'anormalitat.
Dr. Jordi Altés, Adjunct Medical Director Hospital Clínic.
Moderators: Dr Joan Escarrabill, Patient Experience Assessment Team at Hospital Clínic, and Àlex Susanna, Director of Art at Fundació Vila Casas.
