The artifex of a body of work that focuses its imaginary world on celluloid, Isidre Manils projects visual narratives of apparently unrelated universes which are open to mental constructs shaped by the viewers’ perceptions. Pictorial poems deployed randomly on the canvas which subtly move through the intimate interiors of memory.
In order to explore and come up with new forms for this visual narrative, the Centre Cultural la Mercè and the Fundació Vila Casas Itiner’ART programme have arranged a talk with the film critic and University of Girona professor Àngel Quintana and the artist Isidre Manils as part of the exhibition Traspasseu-ho, which is on at the Centre Cultural la Mercè until 27 May.
