Quiral Opinion: Deciding on motherhood. Expectations and realities about delayed motherhood, egg freezing and assisted reproduction techniques.
The Quiral 2025 Report concludes that many women aged 30-35 currently experience a certain amount of anxiety when making decisions related to motherhood. Among other issues, they must decide whether they want (or can) get pregnant, whether they want to delay motherhood, whether they want to freeze their eggs, whether they will need assisted reproduction techniques, or whether they consider not having children. These are difficult decisions that depend not only on their personal preferences, but also on their health, their finances, the options available through the healthcare system and, obviously, in many cases, their partners.
Good information is necessary for decision-making, but unfortunately it is difficult to find and often very complex. In addition, there is a business sector surrounding this new reality that does not always offer clear and realistic information.
To what extent is modern medicine capable of responding to the new expectations and needs generated by delayed motherhood? What is the response from the public and private healthcare sectors? In this debate, we want to find out the health and scientific reality surrounding this issue.
