The Vila Casas Foundation is collaborating with the Maria Canals International Piano Competition, which this year celebrates its 71st edition. The Foundation, which will award the third prize in the competition, is organizing a day of music and art at the Can Framis Museum with free admission for all audiences on Friday, March 27.
- Starting at 11 a.m. and throughout the day, there will be a piano set up in the lobby of the Can Framis Museum for anyone who wants to try their hand at the instrument (with occasional performances by the festival's facilitators).
- At 1 p.m., concert by Cor Respira, a choir made up of patients from Bellvitge Hospital with chronic respiratory conditions.
- At 5 p.m., guided tour of the exhibition Una col·lecció permanentment canviant (A constantly-evolving collection) organized by the museum mediation team. The tour is inspired by the selection of works by pianist Sira Hernández. Full capacity
- At 6 p.m., piano recital by Sira Hernández, who will reinterpret the permanent exhibition at the Can Framis Museum with different musical themes.
- At 7:15 p.m., presentation of the third Maria Canals Prize awarded by the Vila Casas Foundation and recital by the winner.
