Lecture by Jordi Falgàs, director of the Rafael Masó Foundation, as part of the season of activities based on the exhibition "Masó: Interiors" in Torroella de Montgrí.
From Verges and Albons to Sant Feliu de Guíxols, via Torroella, Palafrugell and La Bisbal, Rafael Masó’s (1880-1935) work is frequently found throughout the region. His buildings in Torroella and L'Estartit are good examples. He designed brand-new buildings, such as Casa Salieti in l'Estartit, and also carried out numerous renovations of old buildings, as in the cases of the Palau Solterra, the Palau lo Mirador and Can Quintana. In this presentation we will take a geographic and historical tour of all these buildings which, despite being part of our landscape and heritage, often go unnoticed or are not known as being works by Masó.
