One of the main events to mark World Museum Day is Museums at Night. Promoted by the Council of Europe, this is the fourteenth year it has been held and it will take place on the night of Saturday 18 May, from 7pm to 1am. On this night several museums around Catalonia will stay open around midnight and offer cultural events.
Once again the Fundació Vila Casas Can Framis Museum is taking part in the initiative with the following programme of activities: An open doors day to the permanent exhibition Monologue, Dialogue and Concept, and the temporary exhibition of work by Jordi Fulla, Llindar i celístia. There will also be a contemporary dance performance, L’art com balla.
Open Doors Day
Free entry from 7pm to 1am to the Can Framis Museum collection – over 300 works by both well-known and emerging artists from the contemporary Catalan art scene – and the temporary exhibition Llindar i celístia, featuring the artist Jordi Fulla.
L’art com balla
The dancers Beatriz Torralbo and Adrià Bardia bring contemporary dance to the museum with three flash-performances which will take place amongst the viewers and the works at the museum.
Performances: At 8pm, 10pm and 12am.
