La Mercè Festival 2024. Family visit: Make your own poster for the La Mercè festival

Saturday 21, September, 2024 11.30 h - Saturday 21, September, 2024
Can Framis, Barcelona

Cancelled

Every year the city of Barcelona selects a contemporary artist to design the poster for the festival.  Artists such as Albert Ràfols-Casamada (1981), Antoni Clavé (1996), Antoni Tàpies (2002) and Francesc Artigau (2011) all produced posters for previous years’ festivals. The Can Framis Museum of Contemporary Painting houses works by many artists who have designed posters for the Mercè festival, and to mark the occasion a family visit will view some of the pieces in the museum’s collection relating to the festival posters.

After looking at how they were made and the materials used, the children in the group will design their own Mercè festival posters, inspired by the artistic techniques they encounter in the museum’s galleries.

Date: Saturday September 21st, 11.30 a.m.
Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes

Minimum recommended age: 5 years old.
Price: On the occasion of the open doors, there will be a special 50% discount on the entrance fee: 4 € (both adults and children).

The Foundation reserves the right to cancel the activity if the minimum number of participants (4 children) is not reached.
