Guided tours of the exhibition Are There Still Not Enough Eyes on the Face? by Robert Llimós, led by our art educators.
The exhibition Are There Still Not Enough Eyes on the Face? brings together Robert Llimós’s body of work created in the late 1960s and early 1970s within the context of Catalan conceptual art. Through a dialogue between different languages—ways of engaging with the challenge of seeing—ranging from sculpture to painting, via performance and the written word, the exhibition offers a journey which, whilst focusing exclusively on a single decade of the artist’s extensive output, aims to resonate with new echoes across his entire career.
Seen in this light, Llimós's body of work is illuminated by a common thread: the determination to find a new image. Although the context in which the image emerges varies throughout his career, the method remains the same: to position oneself, to observe, to translate, to repeat, to persist.
