Guided tour to the exhibition The instinct with the artist Salvi Danés.
Suspended time. The relationships with his loved ones in the territory. The photographs by Salvi Danés (Barcelona 1985) capture the physical landscape of the Empordà and also an intangible essence. Through this attentive gaze, Danés invites the observer on a nostalgic journey, reminding them of the fragility of the present and the transience of everything that surrounds us. His images are not only visual documents, but also testimonies to a personal period that is slowly fading away. In a constantly-changing world, his photographs serve as anchors of ephemeral personal stories and fleeting moments. Windows to a past that fades as time passes by.
It is an act of instinct, a need to treasure everything that the passage of time changes in his immediate surroundings. It is a way of preserving the beauty and melancholy of a territory and of the people he lives alongside. Reflections on the immediate relationships, between time and space, between place and game.
