PROGRAMME
Claude Debussy: Prélude à l'après-midi d'un Faune / Salvador Brotons: Sonata en Bb, Op. 46 / Ferran Jaumeandreu i Obradors: Classic Spanish Songs / Joan Albert Amargós: Tribute to Lorca
This concert presents a mix of transcriptions with a work originally for saxophone and piano, written by Joan Albert Amargós, in which each movement is inspired by a poem by Lorca. The program starts with the harmonies of Debussy, specifically with a work that has the breadth of the orchestral style and brings a new element that ends up dissolving in the final bars. The piece by Salvador Brotons, originally written for clarinet and piano, consists of two movements: the first, expressive and lyrical and the second, contrasting, which starts slow and finishes with a rapid Allegro.
