Dance at the exhibition "Romà Vallès, The Abstract Horizon"

Thursday 22, October, 2026 19 h - Thursday 22, October, 2026

Espais Volart, Barcelona

Bringing Romà Vallès’s work to life is the starting point for this dance project, which brings together painting, music and movement.

Five dancers from LaFACT’s PAR en Dansa programme – Elettra Mariachiara Ghedini, Clara Voltas, Rocío González, Beatriz Robles and Carolina Rehues – will perform at Espais Volart a choreography created and directed by Williams Castro, inspired by an exploration of Vallès’s work.

The gesture, the brushstroke, the tension and the energy of his paintings are transformed into movement, in a dialogue between body and artwork that invites the audience to view the painting from a new perspective. The performance features music by Erik Satie, one of the composers admired by the artist.

Date: Thursday 22 October, 7.00 pm
Venue: Espais Volart
