With Rafel G. Bianchi, Pere Llobera and Antonio Ortega. Moderated by Eloy Fernández Porta
Three of the most notable Catalan artists of their generation discuss notions of quality and aesthetic value, drawing on how their own creative practices relate to ‘bad’ painting as a source of inspiration or a critique of the pictorial canon, from conceptualist perspectives and an unabashed humour.
Rafel G. Bianchi (Olot, 1967) has held many exhibitions, for example, Segunda parte (Max Estrella), La bandera en la cima (CGAC, Santiago), El col·lecionista absent (NoguerasBlanchard) and Si camina com un lloro i parla com un lloro, és un lloro (Centre Cultural Terrassa). His work has won awards such as the Premi BBVA de Pintura Ricard Camí and Premi de Pintura Fundació Vila Casas. He teaches painting at the Facultat de Belles Arts, Universitat de Barcelona.
