The day before the opening of the exhibition of work by Francesc Todó (1922-2016) entitled Chamber Music, the Fundació Vila Casas will pay homage to the recently deceased artist from Tortosa who is widely regarded as one of the most important figures of post-war Catalan art.
Taking part in the event will be Antoni Vila Casas, president of the foundation; Àlex Susanna, curator of the exhibition; Daniel Giralt-Miracle and Àlex Mitrani, art critics; as well as members of the artist’s family.
The event will be accompanied by a performance of movements from Bach’s Suites for Cello, played by Amparo Lacruz, inspired by the Nativity, the Crucifixion and the Salvation.
