Book presentation: "¿El arte a la deriva?"

Tuesday 29, October, 2024 19 h - Tuesday 29, October, 2024
Espais Volart, Barcelona

Has art lost its aura, its intellectual dimension or, even worse, its power of communication, in other words, its main raison d'être? El arte a la deriva is a now classic book by Marie-Claire Uberquoi, art critic and exhibition curator, who reflects on the plastic arts of recent decades, focusing on the artists who have taken their desire to harass and demolish the traditional notion of art the furthest in order to consider new avenues of expression. Now, we present a new revised and expanded edition with a new prologue and a new final chapter by the author herself.

Presentation by Sergio Vila-Sanjuán.

Date: Tuesday, October 29, 7 p.m.

Free admission.
