Pep Vallès is presenting his book Catedral Santa Creu Temple Hèrcules at the Espai Volart. The event will be hosted by the author’s daughter Domnina Vallès, the writer and contributor to the La Vanguardia Oriol Pi de Cabanyes, and the book’s author Pep Vallès.
According to Lluís Permanyer, who wrote the book’s introduction, “In a story by Kafka, the main character approaches a medieval stonemason who is working at the foot of an enormous architectural work in progress. And upon asking him what he is doing, he is given this incisive answer: “I am constructing the cathedral”. My interpretation of Pep Vallès’s work is that, while he was writing this essay, in his always very personal literary style, he was absolutely certain he was constructing a new image of Barcelona’s Gothic quarter.”
