Layers of Light
Workshop on expanded drawing on transparent surfaces with Sabine Finkenauer.
This workshop offers an exploration of drawing through superimposition, cut-outs and transparency. Using semi-transparent papers as both a surface and a building material, we will work with layers that allow us to reveal, conceal, transform and relate images, lines and shapes.
We will investigate how drawing can be expanded through its interaction with light, incorporating emptiness, fragmentation and spatial composition.
By using the large window overlooking the courtyard at Can Framis as a backdrop and incorporating natural light, we will establish a direct relationship with the museum’s architectural space and create a large collective mural, generating an effect similar to that of contemporary stained-glass windows.
