Quiral Arte was devised as a formula for debate between collectors, gallery owners, cultural administrators and art specialists to create a body of opinion on exhibitions at the foundation and the specific characteristics of the featured artists. The encounter generates different points of view - a plural crossroads of options that enrich and promote the knowledge of art and the positioning of the artist in our cultural context. Quiral Arte is the product of this debate and is published in Spanish.
What is chirality? Chirality, a term coined by Lord Kelvin in 1873, is a concept from chemistry referring to the way a molecule may adopt different forms, non-superimposable, each capable of affecting the polarized light that illuminates it in a different way. An art work may also be the subject of different interpretations, depending on the perception and attitude involved in the creative process and the experience of the viewer.
