The art of collecting
The art of collecting. Over the years collecting has evolved, although not the vocation of the collector, which springs from a sense of intellectual adventure and aesthetic experience. The motives of a collector are to do more with sensibility, culture, intuition and the desire to store objects with the idea of enjoying and sharing them, rather than the popular misconceptions of investment and possession. In the cycle The Art of Collecting we wish to pay homage to those whom Balzac defined as “the most passionate men in the world.”
