Antoni Muntadas (Barcelona, 1942) is showing his project Pamplona – Grazalema at the Can Framis Museum as part of the LOOP Barcelona programme.
The work takes the form of a book and a video installation and was produced in collaboration with the anthropologist Ginés Serrán Pagán. It juxtaposes two Spanish fiestas featuring bulls: the Sanfermines in Pamplona and the Fiesta de Toro de la Vigen del Carmen in Grazalema (Cadiz), and shows the transformation they have undergone from local folk fiestas to events catering to mass tourism.
