On Thursday 3 December at 7.00 pm the Fundació Vila Casas Espai Volart is holding an event to receive the official donation of the artworks Venedora de cupons 2 (Ticket Seller 2), untitled 10 and untitled 11, by the recently deceased Robert Anglada (Barcelona, 1944-Horta de Sant Joan, 2015). Draughtsman and painter, Anglada produced expressive work with echoes of Bacon and suggestive abstraction. He had exhibitions throughout Europe in the 1970’s and his work was praised, amongst others, by Alexandre Cirici, Xavier Rubert de Ventós and Maria Lluïsa Borràs.
The donation event will feature a talk by Eduard Carbonell (Barcelona, 1946), vice president of the Catalan Museums Board and art historian, who will evoke the deconstructive stamp of the work of the painter.
