Moisès Villèlia (Barcelona, 1928-1994) was a constructor of floating forms in space and one of the major figures of the avant-garde movement which broke with Informalism to explore Conceptualism. Carvings, works in bamboo and webs are the three main sculptural groupings appearing in this display, which consists of some 30 pieces of great artistic maturity from one of Villèlia’s most creative periods.
On Thursday 8 May at 6 pm Nahum Villèlia, co-curator of the exhibition and son of the artist, will lead the public on a guided visit of the display of some of the most outstanding pieces from Moisès Villèlia’s final period.
Places must be booked in advance. Telephone 93 481 79 80 or email press@fundaciovilacasas.com. The price of the activity is included in the general entrance fee (€1).
