Once again, the Can Mario Museum in Palafrugell is taking part in the Flors i Violes (Flowers and Violas) festival. The festival, now in its 8th edition, is a floral and musical exhibition held jointly with the Palafrugell School of Music.
Spring Awakening begins with the “Nessun dorma” aria from Puccini’s Turandot to offer a show incorporating music into the gallery space. The centrepiece of the visual element will be a carpet of flowers which will bloom in a pentagram while music is played from unexpected locations, weaving a unique tapestry which will break the more customary hush of the Can Mario lobby.
Opening times: 29, 30 April and 1 May; 10 am-2 pm, 5 pm-8.30 pm.
Musical performance: 12 noon and 7 pm, given by the Palafrugell School of Music.
Free of charge.
